Best ways to pass the time on a longhaul flight other than watch the crap movie.?
Answers:
With experiences of a medium-haul flight, say on an American Airlines on a 757-200 from Jamaica to New York, the same can be applied.
I normally read the in-flight magazines, and afterwards pass on with a good book. During the times too when I can be resourceful, I listen to my CD player, and dose off in no time. What people normally do is use their laptops to log on to the 'net (if broadband enabled), or they play their games on board. My friends have an ipod, and they said that it beats watching the tv or listening to the same boring 12 channel stations radioed on the flight. The most is that you can be resourceful. As long as it doesn't hinder you in terms of weight, space, or capacity, then feel free. After all, you paid for the flight - so enjoy it!
Get a Sony PSP
i take sleeping pills than just sleep the whole way
Portable dvd player to watch your own movies, Gameboy, books, sodoku(sp)
APPLE IPOD..and with ur fav songs
Talk to people next to you. Play cards with them. Get drunk and eve-tease the flight attendant
I stay up the night before and sleep on the flight. It doesn't help the jet lag any, but it sure beats the boredom of the crummy movies and nasty food!
ativan and sleep.
or bring a good book, some music, or a small travel game.
Take a nap. Bring a laptop if you have one and watch your own DVDs. Read books and magazines. Read that crappy Sky Mall catalog they provide and laugh at all the ridiculous crap they sell in there. Drink.

well, i got a few answers, but i don't want to get suspended just yet.so i will go with.a good book?
Crossword puzzles work for me. Or audio-books because if I get the right audio-book, I go right to sleep.
I don't drink on the long-hauls, only the short flights, because I don't like having to get up to pee every hour or so-- keeps me from falling asleep on the rare occasion that I actually could--- plus it's really hard on your body to have a bunch of alcohol and spend a bunch of hours on a plane.
too bad we can't be on the flight together..
play with yourself
soduko puzzles
- sleeping pills
- PSP
- watch your own DVDs on your laptop
i do not recommend sleeping pills as i tried it before and it did not work!If u are flying with someone else, play a game of cards or talk to the person sitting next to you.You can't be listening to your i-pod for the whole flight,so do a bit of everything.A bit of cards,a bit of movie,a bit of chatting,a bit of listening to the music and maybe a bit of trying to take a nap.
