My citroen xantia turbo diesel p-reg is running hot? any ideas.?

I wouldn't recommend it. The 2 fan system wiring is not striaght forward. You are best to just replace the faulty fan unit. They are not expensive but if money is an issue then source from a scrap yard. The Zantia is normally a good reliable car but because of the way Citroen manufacture them they are not easy to work on. Also make sure you check all the fuses. Sounds simple but could save you time and money. Good Luck

HI THERE, I WOULDNT WORRY ABOUT THE SECOND FAN,
IT SOUNDS LIKE A COOLING PROBLEM, FIRST I WOULD SUJEST CLEANING YOUR RADIATOR, USE A PRESSUE WASHER TO CLEAN IN BETWEEN THE FINS, IF THAT FAILS, IT COULD BE YOUR THERMOSTAT,
WHEN THE CAR IS HOT, IS THE HEATER BLOWER SYS WORKING HOT? IF NOT, THIER IS UR PROB, U NEED A NEW THERMOSTAT, THESE ARE EASY TO FIT BUT I RECOMEND YOU TAKE IT TO A GARAGE.
