Can i drive a robin reliant with a 125 engine , with only my provisional motorcycle license or not?
Answers:
You can drive most 3 wheelers on a full motorcycle licence, but would be better off driving a mini on L plates and save £500+ on insurance. Insurance companies HATE plaggy rats and pencil sharpeners.
As G8BVL said they dont make them with 125 engines, a 125 moped is all you are permitted to ride on a provy ticket. And judging by your intelligence level even that is a bit risky
go for an automattic for all our sakes.
it would move it would be that slow
No. Robin Reliants are classified, just, as a car.
you need a full licence to drive a three wheeler and you wouldn't find one with a 125cc engine, the smallest they did was a 750cc.
yes i think so.
yes you can aslong as you disable the reverse gear on the car
If you have a full motorbike licence you can drive a plastic pig with learner plates on
Let me know the answer
As mentioned, you cannot drive a vehicle with a reverse gear
Well, it's got more than a 125 engine for one thing.
Oddly enough, the Robin is a car as far as the driving license rules go, but a motorcycle as far as the road fund license goes. Or at least it used to be that way. Go figure!
In the olden days, Yes. You had to disconnect or disable the reverse gear. It was just a cable mechanism then. Not sure how they are (if they still are) made in our modern times. You'd get a more reliable answer from the police.
,the smallest engine in robins is 750cc i drove them for 15 years mate but had a full motorcycle license. They are cheap to tax and insure as they a classed as motor cycles this thing about taking the reverse out was years ago , you were not allowed to use a vechile if it had reverse on a motor cycle license but i was never pulled up in all me years mate best ask at the local police station make sure you are not breaking the law. but i think you can drive one with L plates if you have a qualified driver with you
yes, as long as it has no reverse gear !
i work at a reliant dealers and they don't do a 125cc and yes you can drive on a provisional because its classed as a trike.
NO, a Reliant (Manufacturer) Robin (model) is classified as a car and requires a FULL UK license to drive on your own.
Yes, but you can't go backwards.
Or forwards. I forget which - sorry.
