Mercedes ml320 rear seat belt is jammed, how do i release it?
Answers:
seat belts have ballbearings inside them that can roll about thats what make them lock if they are off balance they willlock up u need to give the back panel a bang or get in to it and see if its loose
Get some oil and pour it in a way that the oil spills all over the nice beautiful CLEAN seats. and Voila, ur seatbelt is released.10 feet away from da car!!
In all seriousness, a little WD40 probably would facilitate things. I don't remember whether that particular model uses the same sourced buckles as every other Mercedes of its kind, but the buckle units are generally plastic with metal bits inside, so it won't do any damage to the parts.
If that still doesn't solve the problem, then you may need to take the buckle unit apart with a screwdriver (that is, if it's possible to do so) and play with it that way.
The seatbelt latches are designed to lock-up in case of accident. If one is jammed the only safe way to repair it is to replace it.
