41mph in a 30 zone, £60 penalty and 3 points. Is there any way out of this if i take them to court??

Answers:
I am sorry! Take who to court? For what reason?

Get real. You made the choice to speed so you pay the fine and take the points.

Speed limits are there for a reason. Have you seen the adverts - do you WANT to kill a child? Or a mother or a father? How would you feel if one of your own was killed by a selfish, self-important idiot who was rushing around?

Tough.
Sorry,,, no.

Youre allowed 34mph

When you get your court letter,, take the court to court.

(I am obviously not serious) !
TAKE WHO TO COURT lucky it was the camera u didnt see u cant miss them they come in bright yellow colours and not something else child could have been killed why was you speeding in the first place ppl speed that fast that they also dont see the big white police car while driving got off lightly might have been worse hope lesson been learnt ere
dream on
seves you right.I hate people who speed in built up areas.
You was breaking the law! Why would you take them to court?? Best thing to do is see if you can see your face in the picture, if you cannot get your dad to take the fall.
No, pay up and accept it.
Unless you have some real good reason for speeding. and 'I was late for work' is not a good reason.
Prehaps if you were bieng chased by armed gunmen you may get away with it.
Find a traffic lawyer to represent you. The cost will be relatively high, but consider that if he shakes the points off all you'll be paying is a flat fee vs. having points taken off and paying extra in insurance over time.
Errrr? If you invent a time machine and go back to just before you went past the camera and then apply the breaks. Hope that helped
No i don't think so. You could get some of that number paint spray which reflects speed camera flashes so you don't get done again.
no way out but you might want to appeal against desision they might put a bit extra on the fine if you do not think that was enough plus you will also get more court costs but its your money pay up or take the chance (personaly i would pay up and stop whinging)
Yeh. 5 years.
Apparently, some people have told me that you can contest the fact that there is no photo (unless there IS a photo but I have never had one in the UK) and that, technically, they cannot PROVE it is you!

Like I said, it worked for serveral friends of mine a few years ago. If nothing else, it will delay your points/fine!
um no, 38 is the golden speed they can prosecute up to that speed, but they usually don't, U go to court U will lose
I tried that 2 months ago had no luck, it was 3am on a wide road in Manchester and i was doing 41 as well ! so i would save the 45 pound court costs and pay now.
Only if you can afford Beckhams lawyer. Seriously. you can get away with the points like this. If it was a speed camera offence get someone you know who doesn't drive to say they were driving. You pay the fine, bung your mate a drink, they get the points. You don't have to produce documents like insurance and stuff, all they want is 60 quid and a licence to put the points on, even a provisional will do, don't you know anyone who used to have a moped when they were 16 and still got a valid licence. Its ilegal so be careful, the loophole will end soon. The cameras are being altered to snap the driver as well as the number plate. Good luck!
Learn your lesson and use your speedo in future - its a lot cheaper and safer for everyone else!
You got of lightly it could have been a life
Taking it to court WILL make it worse.for YOU. The only way out via the 'take it to court' route is if you employ the services of one Mr Nick Freeman - he gets all the celebs off with speeding - LEGALLY.

If due to their incompetence they can't provide evidence etc. then you have a small chance of getting off - if they win it could result in another 3 points and a BIG fine plus court costs.

ps. 'mouse' is talking rubbish. It is generally recognised that most POLICE authorities allow you 10% + 2mph (30=35 & 70=79) as their thresholds. BUT, speeding is an 'absolute offence' so even doing 31mph is 'technically' a procecutable offence - think Wales + Mr. Brunstrom = tyranical anti speed campaign.
You can try mate but you wont have a leg to stand on, you were speeding and you broke the law, people like you make me sick, be a man and take it on the chin. My boyfriend was caught speeding and got a penalty and 3 points, I told him he deserved it for speeding and he agreed. Dont do the crime if you cant do the time!
Only £60 and three points you were Lucky if you didn't see the camera what chance of you seeing a small child. with all the new buildings going up most of the country will be a 30 mile an hour limit. before we know it.
Take it on the chin mate, if it goes to court you could end up paying a lot more!
i got 46 in a 40 still got 3 points and a fine and did go to court
Pay up.
If you go to court they will add the costs on top etc. So it will cost you more.
3 points and a sp30 will not make that much difference to insurance quotes etc.
No.
If you go to court you have to prove you were not doing 41 mph and that the reading is incorrect you could try proving you speedo was giving an incorrect reading which would involve having it tested by an independent reputable company or that the camera or speed detection equipment was faulty both very difficult to prove or disprove but people have won cases before talk to a solicitor who has dealt with this sort of thing before and they will be able to give you best advice find them in yellow pages
just pay the fine mate goto court and it will be trebled
What court ? the thing you need to do is think about cutting down your speed
HOW DID YOU PASS YOU DRIVING TEST? WHAT DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND ?
Go to court and it will cost you more.
Pay the fine and resolve to stay within the posted speed limits. I agree 60 Pounds is a lot of money, but you made the mistake. The roads are set with speed limits for a reason and that is for the best traffic flow. When you drive too fast, you risk bunching traffic and causing a crash. I drive the speed limits in the States and get tailgated constantly by people wanting to beat the system. Allow yourself more time to get where your going and you'll seldom have to worry about a ticket or crash.
