Are speed bumps legal ? can council be sued for any damage to car?
Answers:
yes a case in goole a man was driving to his home on bridge street he was doing 15 mph
and went over a speed bump and broke his rear springs on his car and sued the counicl
for the damages and he won his case the speed bumps have now been removed ?
they are legal, and you will not win..if you damage your car, it's because you didn't slow down..that's why they are there!
Yes they are legal and no you can't sue. They don't damage your car unless you were speeding.
Wow ppl can be so smart. "Can I sue cuz I was speeding and ruined my car on a speed bump?"
Yeah, what they say is true, supposedly. The problem is, all speed bumps are not created equally. I don't know where they get instructions on building them but they all seem to be a little different. Some are good for the speed some of them are not. Whenever I take my 'Stage-1 Grand Sport' out, I have to be very careful. Some speed bumps I have to barely crawl over and I still drag my under carriage, headers, etc.
If you have damaged your car by driving too fast over a speed bump, it serves you right. Have you any idea how many little kids liv es those bumps have saved by protecting them from w*****s who think they own the road?
You can only sue if they are not painted/ announced. For instance if you can't see there are speed bumps and then your car gets damaged. you might have a case, otherwise. you're out of luck.
