Why dont they put the humps in roads over the potholes and save money?
Answers:
if they did that the roads would be one great spead bump
i was going to say the same as above!
I think that's a bloody good point. You should go & work for your local council, oh no, hang on, that would involve the council not wasting money! They can't have that. Their funding would be decreased and they couldn't give themselves a great big payrise for doing nothing.
There, I got that off my chest & I feel better.
Thank you.
There is no money in that. Government charges you tax money for both In fact they tax you more to fix the hole You must remember you are an endless cash cow and the government want all your money
Because the government are stupid, I think they all fount there jobs in a cereal box!
or one big pothole. but then i guess we'd end up with just a track.
Seriously, the speed humps have to be placed evenly apart and are placed so that a car cannot reach above a certain speed before having to slow down. If you put them where there are potholes, they might be 30 feet apart or 300 feet apart, wasting your tax money and the streets either bumpier than before or cars will continue to go fast.
If you want another stupid answer about the govt being morons, keep reading because I'm sure you'll get many more.
because they would have to put the price up on lowering springs and shock absorbers [as if theyer not dear enough] to penalise people like my husband who spend lot of money on making their car look good enough to enter car shows
because they silly, actually im thinking of buyinga 4x4 to replace my existing ford
