I spilled 10 litres of paint in the boot of my car?

it's waterbased and to remove most of it i had to scoop it out with my hand bit by bit ( i was on the road). it went all over the spare wheel compartment ( up to my elbow) and all over the interior. any ideas of how do clean it off without spending that much money?

Answers:
You need a hose and a wet dry vacume. Run the water in the trunk (boot, you crazy englishman) and suck it out. If the water and paint get on the outside of the car it could stain.

If the paint dries then it will not come off everything.
get an oil based solvent or something to clean it and a bunch of towels
vinegar is good but will stick out the car for a while, cokes not bad but you meed to let it sit for a while, and is sticky as hell
Go to a paint store and purchase a product called Goopout?? It removes paint spills on most surfaces.
sorry its going to cost BUCKS hahahahahahahaha...
I did similar, but I'd got the tin out of the car before I spilt in the garage. The lids should be properly fastened down with clips, especially tins holding that sort of quantity. I only know that once waterbased paint has dried it is worse to remove than oil based.
Sorry, but you have my sympathy if nothing else.
You should wear gloves to get it cleaned up for a start .Get a bucket of hot soapy water plastic shovel ,scoop excese up with shovel and scrub the interior out with the hot water .
Hope this helps you and good Luck .
i think buying a new car would be cheaper and smell better your gonna be as high as a kite until the paint fumes are gone
I notice some folks don't actually read the question before they answer. You don't get dangerous fumes from water-based paint and you don;t need an oil based solvent to remove it.

Having said that, by now if the paint is dry, you will have some trouble removing it. Water-based emulsion or latex paint is best removed as soon as possible after spilling BEFORE it dries.

After that, warm soapy water and a plastic scraper (as already suggested). Be prepared to work hard if you want it all removed, otherwise, scrape off as much as you can and let the rest dry.

If the carpet in teh boot/trunk has been ruined, consider visiting a scrapyard/junkyard and picking up a replacement used carpet from another car for very little money.
