What are upcoming service requirements for 2001 X Reg BMW 325i?

I am looking at a low mileage (16k) 2001 BMW 3-series. Are their any expensive service requirements for a vehicle this age? Any other hidden costs or considerations for this vehicle?

Answers:
due because of age - brake fluid flush every two years, coolant service every four years, inspection 1 will be needed, includes micro filter and other checks like drive belt conditions. inspection 1 usaully doesn't come but every 30k but this is a low mile car and will be needed sooner. also check if still under full maintenance. just call dealer with vin # and they can tell you everything. if under maintenance all will be free. some cars have 36k and others 50k and some rare ones have 100k maintenance from bmw. the 100k ones are purchased extra from the owner when new.
Switch it on and read the trip computer. It should tell you when the next service is due.

Then phone your local dealership and ask them what a 20K (for example) service entails and how much it might cost.

Easy peasy
when ever the service light comes on or once a year
there three servicing scheduils
oil
inspection 1
inspection 2
Visit a BMW dealer and they will give you a sheet of recommend service for your vehicle.

Since you're buying a low mileage vehicle, try driving the vehicle on long highway trips to burn off sledge.
