If my car has only done 3,500 miles is it possible that the clutch could be going?
Thank you
Answers:
First of all dont take off in any higher gear than second. It is very hard on the clutch. If it WILL take off in third or forth then that means that the clutch is still in good shape. But if you keep taking off in third the clutch isnt gona last any time. always take off in first or second. The popping when u depress the clutch is normal. The clutch is hydrollic there is no clutch cable. Hope i was some help.
If it's still under warranty, take it in.
Starting in third will wear a clutch out! It is possible that you can have it repaired under a warranty, but you should have someone teach you the correct way to use the clutch.
Dang!! Too much to read Brain Clutch going out!
OK, if you not know how to drive a Standard like my Cousin then yes it could be going out. You will smell a Clutch that is "Burning" it a smell only a clutch will make. Very Pungent. Some vehicles have a Hydraulic Reservoir for the clutch it could be low on fluid. That all I know to tell you.
sounds like a throwout bearing
TAKE IT BACK TO THE DEALER HIS PROBLEM
