I got a PCN but the parking attendant got my registration No. wrong.Can they identify me by the excise No.?

I had the same thing happen - the reg. was out by one digit but they had the no. off the tax disc. They fined for unloading on a bus lane - which is permitted on Saturday mornings for 20min so I contested it online and haven't heard a thing - that was on the 29th June. I am assuming that they would've got back to me by now whether I was right or wrong but have left it because of the reg.
I don't know, maybe, maybe not. Just do the right thing and pay the ticket.
If tehy get ANY material fact wrong on the ticket, it is invalid. (And teh reg number IS a material fact).
No. ANYTHING wrong on the PCN and they're bolloxed

Yes they can, but if the ticket has your registration number wrong, they cannot enforce it.
Send the ticket back, saying this is not your registration number.
