I`m having trouble starting my land rover series 3 diesel - can anyone help?
I`ve just finished restoring and rebuilding my series 3 landy 2.25 diesel and now it won`t start, it started about 3 months ago when i drove it back from the my mates garage and now i can`t get it to start at all. I`ve put a new battery on it and it turns over fine but won`t fire up. Please can someone give me some ideas.
Thanks Andy

Try priming the diesel filter, maybe the fuel's old. Or try replacing the glow plugs.
come on the best idea i can give u is to go to a professional mechanic and ask him to fix it .
I know it sounds stupid but firstly you have checked that it has Diesel in it?
Is the Timing set up correctly? If so is the fuel system primed?
Or have you water or air in the fuel lines as its been stood for so long?
If thats all ok test glow plugs 1st and 3rd!
Check immobiliser system for faults!
Check pre heating system!
And do you have a fuel cut off (Stop Solenoid) If so the Solenoid could be faulty.
Please let me know if this has been any help and as you have just finished a Landy have you any tips for GOOD sourses of parts as i am in the process of putting up with my hubby restoring a disco 200.
