Tips for my driving test nerves?

Think of all the idiots you know who have already passed their test.
Don't be intimidated by the examiner just think of him as another idiot.
On the test itself be sure to actually move your head when you check your mirrors. Its obviously not necessary but it does matter if you have a bolshie examiner.
The main thing is simply to chill out. It's the importance your placing on it that is causing the nerves.
By the way I have been both an instructor and an examiner.

Be a man, suck it up and realize if you fail, you can go right back and try again. Its pretty basic stuff.
Just picture everyone in their underwear.
You'll feel more comfortable as you spend more time driving. My advice would be to practice driving as much as you can up until your test. It will give you more confidence and general driving experience.

the only thing i can really say helped me is don't be afraid to eat but and this may sound weird but don'tdrink chocolate milk before your test
You have to remember to try and concentrate on the road. Concentrate on the road rather than how you think you're doing or how nervous you are, and that way, you won't make silly mistakes while you're taking your test.
just like any other test the best way to relax is to practice and be confident that you can pass. Specifically for driving though make sure you are used to the car you will be using for the test and maybe stake out the area of the exam Don't do this in your car or while driving though, in my area it is illegal to drive in the testing area with a learners permit unless you are currently being tested. You can also ask anyone you know who has taken the exam in the same area as you if there were any tricky parts they didn't expect.
Lol, don't go and have a good drink like i'd recommend for nerves before anything else! Just try to think of the millions of people who have also been in that situation and done it. Get a good nights sleep the night before too. Try to relax the best you can - remember the examiner isn't there to judge you as a person, they're there just to judge your driving, and if your instructor didn't think you were up to it, they wouldn't have told you to take a test. Nothing can get rid of the jitters. They should go away a couple of minutes after the tester sits down and the test actually starts. What you have to remember is the person sitting next to you doesn't want you to fail, he/she wants you to pass and be assured you are driving safe. They just don't want to turn loose a maniac on the road.
Just remember the D.M.V. guy/ girl who gives you your test has probably had the job for a while. And really, . who are you to them anyways? If you know how to drive & you've read the D.M.V. handbook, .. you're good. Lots of people have done this before you & lots will do it after. Put it into perspective.
I got to tell you i was as nervous as hell driving to the test station with my instructor,but you know that all seemed to go once i was in the car with the examiner,treat it like just another lesson, that was four years ago, know my driving instructor has asked me to work for her company as a driving instructor !!.Best of luck ,No

My instructor told me if i felt nervous at all on the test to take 3 or 4 deep breaths and it will calm you down,it worked for me ,i passed 1st time! Good luck and let us all know how you got on.

Will you be having a last lesson just before the test? This should help you to relax and help you gain confidence in yourself as you already know your driving is OK.
I know what you mean about the bag of nerves before the event! For heaven's sake don't have an alcoholic drink before, what a suggestion! You don't want points on your brand new licence do you! If you haven't got a lesson just before the test, walking is good! Walk to the test station, or go for a walk when you get there. Take deep breaths, you could practice this during the week. Take a good, deep breath, hold it for a second or two, then release it slowly. As you release the breath, imagine you are also releasing all your nervousness. Keep telling yourself you are happy with your driving. Think positive! Good luck!
