Answers:
Take it to the shop, it probably needs freon.
Freon
They dont use freon any more but yea take it to the shop
It nay need refrigerant
you need to take it to a mechanic they can recharge the system for you and it is not that expensive unless it is r12 freon if it is expect to pay 300$ dollars or more they can retro fit it to take the new r134 much cheaper
Nededs freon. If there is a leak it will keep happening. Have them leak test the system.
Unfortunately you only have two options, one is to purchase freon at a parts store and recharge it yourself, or, take it to a shop. I would suggest taking it to a shop if you are not sure about the problem. There could be a leak in the freon line, or it could be something simple like a loose vacuum line on your thermostat.
you can buy r-134a at the local auto parts shop and the hose/valve to add it to your cars ac system ..the parts store sell a kit to do this and it is quite easy.i suggest you try to add the freon yourself first because a garage is going to charge you and arm and leg to fix it ..it is almost like cart blanch.whatever they tell you to pay you are stuck with.you can even be charged thousands for a new compressor and they actually just clean up the old one and spray it so it looks new and add fron so it blows cold..always ask for the old parts.
As listed above you need to have the A/C compressor re-filled with refrigerant. Depending on the year of the car it can use Freon if its older or the new enviromentally friendly Puron R-134 refrigerant if its a newer vehicle.
You should still be able to get freon but it will be spendy. I think in the States here its like $20/pound.

Judging from the make of your car I would guess you're in Europe or Australia and they have different laws governing Freon so check into it. If its banned there already you won't be able to get it and will have to retro-fit the new type of Puron using A/C compressor, that's where the cost really soars.

In the US Freon is still around until 2010, after that it will no longer be lawful to use it.
I think you need to have your coolant level checked. If you don't have the correct amount of coolant, the air conditioner will not cool the car.
.TURN it off! You will create further damage by forcing the system! Evaporator coils might be clogged with dirt (coils behind the filter),then appear to be "frozen", then the coils MUST defrost! Do not chip at it or touch it! Coils are very thin metal and easily pierced! Condensor fan (outside the house!)might not be spinning, Too high pressure or too low pressure of refrigerant and a host of other problems. Compressor might be worn. Simple to repair for an HONEST a/c contractor. I worked in apartments, happens ALL the time because filters not replaced every 30 days !!!! EVAP coils can be cleaned after defrosting with genuine EVAP coil cleaner.
Good Luck
heater control switch may be bad or stuck!
