I presume this is when you woke up you thought of this one, the speed detectors in the UK will not read a vehicle going this fast, you would have broken the record for the fastest idiot on the UK roads by some 25 mph.

If you had really done this you would already have been fast tracked to court and would already be in prison, get real fella and ask questions that have a chance of being true.
Whoops! Well, it's your own fault for going so fast! Do the crime, do the time!
You can go to jail for dangerous driving, so I guess thats what they will charge you with. Good luck eh
this is a possibility (but unlikely)

particularly if you are young, they may want to use you to 'set an example' to other young men that have recently passed their test.
sorry not to be able to put you mind at rest.

you may just have your license taken away and have to do the theory again and longer practical test.

I am presuming you are in the UK
I dont believe you. What kind of car would you have to go that speed & where would you be able to go that speed. If it is true then take what you get!
u should get sent to jail but depends on how good your lawyer is
Sorry but i think you may well be looking at a sentence for dangerous driving. Get some good legal representation NOW!!
How did they manage to catch up with you? Yes. Jail time is possible. Going that fast would be considered reckless endangerment (even if it was wreck-less.ha ha!).
3 points on your licence
No ****! Well if you're really lucky you might only get something like a 2 year ban, if you're unlucky, you could be enjoying prison food for 6 weeks!

Don't be such a silly boy in future eh? Think of yourself as well as all the family and friends you leave behind if you end up killing yourself, and anyone else who might be involved in the accident and their family
If you were going at that speed on the roads then you should go to jail. Time you grew up mate.
Most likely is a 3 year ban and huge fine, get a bad judge and you could be looking at 6 months inside.
Are you in UK ? you maybe just get 3 points on your licence and a £60 fine with our pathetic judicial system. I think you should be jailed personally, having had friend knocked off his bike and killed recently by an idiot like you!
You could lose your licence and go to jail, that'll teach you!!
Yes very likely. Unless you have a clean sheet in which case they may suspend you sentence for 3 years. It will be a minimum 6 months
186 mph U going to lose Ur licence of that one, over 100mph is a ban for a min of a year, double the speed limit is a ban for 2 years, so i would say about 3 years, then U'll probably have to take and extended test b4 Ur allowed to drive again

oh and the bans are always served after any jail time, so if U get 3 years in jail, and 3 year ban, U wont be driving 4 six years, and U insurance will go tho the roof now

U can get up to a £5000 fine as well

i hope it was all worth it
186 mph?! What the hell kind of car were you driving??!!
Are you in the U.S.?
If you're in the U.S., first of all, it's called wreckless driving. At that speed, endangerment of human life is apparent. If you get off with a wreckless driving ticket, you'll be lucky! If you're under 18, your parents are responsible. You'll have to deal with parents regardless if you have any.
If I may add, driving 5 mph over the speed limit is all you should be concerned with. If you were my kid, and yes I'm old enough to be your father probably, I'd make sure you would not have access to any car and you would pay for all the fines/tickets, high risk insurace, etc. And, if you were living with with 'me' as a parent, you would be grounded until you turn 21.
Mack
Depends. If they charge you with speeding, they cannot jail you and I believe the maximum still allowed for and purely speed based conviction is 6 points. However such a grossly stupid speed could lead to them charging you with either diriving without due care and attention (for which you could end up with at least 9 points or a full ban) or, more worryingly for you, with dangerous driving. If so they would have to prove that you were acting in line with the standard legal definition: The definition of "dangerous driving" is:
(a) where the standard of driving falls far below what would be expected of a competent and careful driver, and (b) it would be obvious to a competent and careful driver that driving in that way would be dangerous.
You would be unlikely to be jailed unless you are neglecting to mention that someone got killed as a result of your lunacy, but would have a likely 3 year ban and a retest required before getting your licence back
Generally speed alone does not constitute dangerous driving, but this argument has only been tested up to speeds of about 110 mph. I'm sure the way the prosecutor would approach this would be that the speed involved here would be dangerous under any road circumstances and the only safe 186 mph is performed by a skilled (i.e. race trained) driver on a safe track.
186 MPH, maybe KPH!! There are only about 6 production cars that car do that sort of speed, and I don't know of ANY bikes that can.and I doubt you have one.

And if in the UK, anything over 100mph is 'insta-ban', usually at least 6 points & 12 months ban minimum.unless you are an off-duty police officer familiarising himself with his new pursuit vehicle..(156mph - and got off with it!)

If however it involved 'reckless endangerment' or any form of criminal damages to government (police) property then a short custodial may be on the cards.
It's not the ban that you should be worried about, you should be worried about how long your going to go to jail.
P.S. When your in jail DON'T BEND OVER IN THE SHOWER IF YOU DROP THE SOAP!
no way ? the roads could not take the speed and you have nothing that will do 180mph ha ha good one
You won't get a ban or go to jail.

Just a 50p fine, with time to pay.
5 yrs in jail
They changed the laws on speeding in particular areas so you may be in even more trouble than you think.
What a selfish, thoughtless, pointless, idiotic thing to do to work out your Aston Martin DB9 or whatever at more than twice the legal limit on motorways. I presume it was the helicopter that got you in the end!
Big fine and take the car and licence away is what I'd do!!
I hope you go to jail lol
It depends on the nature of the offence e.g. the type of road, vehicle, time of day, driving conditions. Your sentence will depend on your character, plea of guilt, circumstances and previous history. A solicitor will be able to advise you more on this, and suggest what course of action to take.

Some years ago, someone did get clocked at 155mph and it resulted in a prison sentence. However, there may have been more recent cases and I don't know if they also received prison sentences.
You will probably lose your license, too.
You may need an attorney.
What the hell were you driving to be doing 186mph & how come you did'nt kill anybody in the process, i am a driver and would hate to come across an idiot like you on the motorway, i hope they lock you up and throw the key away, or better still ban you for life.
