Is it true that if you do a million miles in a mercedes benz car you will recive a watch from the car maker?

Answers:
I never heard anything about a watch. However, Bostonian is Right. And all the people that said that 300k is impossible should stop buying Japanese crap and get a Mercedes or a Rolls.

I have just over 568,000 miles on my 1960 220 SEb. This car has been serviced by Mercedes Benz since day one. They have attached to my grill 5 badges. 100 k, 200k, 300k, 400k and 500k. I personally received the last three ones. If you look at last years S class promo booklet, you can also see my car, It is a dark blue sedan. They called me to see if I would be interested in letting them take pictures of it, and I was very happy about it. But no watch so far, I'll let you know in a few decades if it happens.
No
I'll let you know later, i still have 45 miles left to do!
Lol, really? I bet they don't have too many watches then
news to me and I'm 40 so it probably is not true.
Don't know but the price of pterol being what it is you are beter off just buying the watch! Probably an urban myth.
not sure but i think i will but one and find out, if i get the watch i will send it to you as a gift.
I don't know if that's true or not, but the famously bought one back from an indian cab driver, and gave him a brand spanking new one, as it had done over 2.5 million miles. It's in their museum now.
that's physically impossible. any car with even 300k miles on it is ready to fall apart, 500k is unbelievable.
lolz good one
Save all of that fuel and buy yourself a watch.
No this is an urban myth.
No watch, but if the service is done by a Mercedes dealer and the mileage is verified, you WILL get a neat medallion to fasten to your grille. They used to give them out at 100k, 250k, 500k and 1,000k. I suspect that they've dropped the 100k and 250k ones since most cars will easily do that many miles with reasonable care.
I doubt it, however 300K is not impossible - I had a NISSAN
BLUEBIRD (Japanese assembled) with 360K on the clock and
it had plenty of life left in it when I sold it.
only a watch ? for the price you pay for a merc youd think they give you a house or something . cheap bastards
I dont know. Maybe I'll go test that idea.

But first I need a Mercedes!
When the mileage is verified you get a badge for the grill and a portfolio with a high mileage award.
ive heard of getting badges but not any watches
richard hammond said its true(my other half said he saw it on top gear)
no but if you did it would need a new strap after a year a battery every 2 years and have the worst warranty in the world
I think it's even less than that but they really do. There is an MB Owners Association and if you belong to it they will give you a gift. And I think recently it was a watch.
I don't have that website address with me now but when I get home I can send it to you
I too very much doubt you'll get a watch for that, but anyone intending to try for interstellar mileage on a Smirker, for gawds sake buy an old one !!!
Well maintained it'll run and run and run, but they newer models will never rack up that sort of distance.
as if no way
I doubt it, too many older Mercedes Diesels have that now. None of the newer cars (1992 and newer) will make it tho'.
the only mercedes capable of reaching 1.000.000 miles these days is the actros truck
I've never heard of it, but I still have 923,856 miles to see if it's true!
