Why is all plant machinery paint yellow?
Answers:
So you know where it is and not fall into it
so you know it when you see it.
because if they are painted green and purple, they might merge into devestator
so it will fit in with the buttercups and inhance the look of the country side
safety, visibility on dangerous, busy sites
branding by CAT and JCB
also because once a precedent is established, it's more expensive to vary from it. For example, if you don't want your van to be white, it will cost another £1000 to buy. Same is probably true of machinery, but yellow instead of white.
because usually that is the foremans favorite color, duh!
Yellow is meant for guards only
