Why is Britain such a rip off with road taxxes, insurance fuel etc.?
(vignette) years ago, so whats going on, declaring a car off road & all of this nonsense in UK, its just creating jobs for the CRATS. Petrol is cheaper & diesel much cheaper than UK also insurance is about half the price than UK.
Answers:
because the british people have allowed it to happen - all they do is moan about it but do nothing and just accept any old crap thrown at them by a succession of cheats liars and crooks who have formed the governments for the past few generations.
its Ace my 7litre car is 30 years old so the tax is free!
Dont you love being in the UK..
It pays for Hospitals, Education, Armed forces, Secret Service, Welfare, Politicians, Royalty, Foriegn Aid, Roads, Policemen, Fire Services, Parliament buildings, road sweepers, EU membership, National debt interest and subsidies on transport to rural locations, like remote islands where the ferries are cheaper.
Every country has their own way of gathering taxes. Some focus on direct taxes straight off your income, others on indirect taxes such as VAT or fuel duty.
It all amounts to the same which ever way you look at it.
because they are too many carts on the road and people are buying more cars
i would like to know why as well because Germany is also cheaper.
Well, the government has got to get its money from somewhere so we can look after all the illegals.
I think the more important question is why we tolerate higher and higher petrol and gas prices when the oil companies are posting record profits.
In theory, the taxes are going for social needs (although we should definitely be challenging the way Parliament chooses to spend our money, i.e. the on-going PPI nightmare). But the higher prices are just going directly into corporate pockets.
Somebody has to pay for the upkeep of all these illegal immigrants that the goverment let into the country to suck up all of our benifits and have access to our free healthcare, we motorists are just an easy target. As for insurance costs, it is estimated that 1 in 20 cars being driven on the road is un insured and all of the law abiding motorists in this country are paying for their accidents by paying higher premiums.
