Just aquired 1974 Landrover Ser 3 but Haynes manual does not give tyre pressures. please advise?

Look for a data plate either inside the door panel, under the hood or in the glove box. Somewhere, there should be a plate with some information on it like max load, etc. The tire pressure should also be on it.
If not, call the dealer, they should know.
check with a tire store for the type of tire you are using,and the load you are carrying, run lower preasure of road, ,I had one
max. pressure is stamped on tire. look close to the edge of the rim of the tire.

Its spelled T-I-R-E, go look at the sidewall, and don't go over the max
