Why would a diesel engine pump engine oil out of the dipstick tube?

Answers:
presurised crank case, loose fitting dipstick, or crankcase breather blocked, the oil has to find it,s way out under presure, it will find the weakest way out.
Either you have too much oil in the engine, or you have alot of blowby in the piston rings.
Too much oil
if you overfill it there is pressure and it gets 'pumped' back out
Valve-stem oil seals?
your car is back pressureing i think u have a headgasket problem
rings are gone
Because the head gasket is away and the compression is going up instead of down,or else the piston rings are away and the compression is slipping up past them.
Either way,get it to a mechanic to get it checked out !
cos your dip stick is not in correctly (you dipstick)
Depends on the type of diesel enginge you are talking about. Are you sure it's all oil? Does it smell like fuel? Is it a mist or stream? There are several possibilities and you didn't give enough detail for an accurate diagnosis.
your timing could be off
high pressure.
