What is the punishment, if you insurance has ran out?

Answers:
on car insurance you would be prosecuted for driving without insurance, this would mean a court appearance. it is possible you can be disqualified from driving for a period, there is usually a 6 - 8 point penalty and a fine up to £5000.

this is for UK drivers
what and you've crashed ?
you're not insured i spose.
Points on your licence to begin with, possibly a fine too
you will get a ban
If you mean car insurance, you'll get points on your license if caught.

You're also very irrespsonsible if you're driving around with no insurance - think of others yeah?
Cannot claims your insurace , plus penalty for not insured.
In New York state it is there is a daily fee plus suspension of license.
driving ban, a fine, and a very high premium insurance when the ban's over, as well the cost of the damage you made !
Beheading.
Points on your licence (possibly a ban), a hefty fine.
And if you have an accident, your in deep trouble.
You will likely be thrashed soundly with a badger.
Purgatory...
You get quite a hefty fine,i think.
You will recieve a fine, Penalty points on your license, possibly a driving ban and also most insurers won't insure you ever, including house insurance, travel, life insurance etc.

Also if you have an accident, other people lose out including me because of your stupidity not to get insurance, mine increases to cover the costs of those that can't be bothered.

If I were you, i'd park the car off the road, and begin getting the bus until you get the cover note.
Don't drive and report your car off the road to the DVLA otherwise if you hit and kill some poor innocent child you will have to live with that all your life, and people like me will try and get ya!
In Florida, they will suspend your license. Plus a fine I believe.
Depends on what happens.
If you are caught without then you get a fine and points.
If you crash you will get that plus a ban and have to pay for both vehicles repair
If you crash and someone is hurt or killed you will get all the above plus you will be responsible for paying compensation which could see you bankrupt. You might also face a spell in prison
If your insurance has ran out Park the car off the public highway.
You must have insurance on a vehicle if it is on the road, even if it is parked somwhere.
I do hope you havent crashed into somone as you may be in deep doo doo.
If your car insurance runs out, the insurance company contacts DMV. DMV, in most circumstances, sends out a letter requesting proof of insurance. They give you a form for either you or your insurance agent to fill out. If you have a lapse in coverage, even if it is just one day, you can lose your license until you pay a fine, which leads to you getting points against your driving record. The fine used to be $500, but I'm not sure how much it is now. At least that's how it is in Virginia.

If you are talking about health insurance, if you have a lapse in coverage any doctor visits or medical procedures will not be covered during that time frame. Even if you get your insurance reinstated, there is often a waiting period before it goes back into effect. There are no fines for letting health insurance lapse that I know of.
It can be quite a fine.

I live in england an traffic cops was on last night, so I watched it cos i was bored. Try watching it if you can next thursday evening.

I think you should get some insurance if you don't have any.
In Ontario you get a $5000 fine, points and insurance probs if you try to get insurance again..not to mention if there are medical and personal injury claims if the person sues you..ur pretty my up shits creeks
the conviction code is IN10 and can carry a substantial fine.

The real bad news is that insurance companies dont want to know you in the future, they regard a IN10 as almost as bad as drink driving
points on your licience and a fine
If you drove without insurance then I HATE people like you cause I had an accident with an uninsured driver 4 yrs ago and it wasn't my fault (Ins admitted it) and I had to pay out £400 excess - dam you fuckers.

You will get a IN10 on your licence, a fine and possible ban

Which now means your premium has increased if you try and get insurance again - so it should be.
