Can you fit a golf gti or r32 engine in a seat arosa?
Answers:
firstly r32s are 4wheel drive so to do this you would need extensive chassis modification (you would be better buying a r32 due to cost) also it is a v6 configuration which is quite a large lump the gti engine would be more possible cost and physically but bear in mind non standard engine modifications are very complex you have to consider what drive shafts to use (a shaft that would fit to your non standard gearbox and your existing hubs) also the wiring loom may need extensive modification to run things like rev counter and speedo and foreign ECU ,traction control and ABS also you need to consider brake upgrades to allow for the extra speed that you will need to slow down from also suspention for the extra weight and handling propertys of a faster car also you may need larger wheels to accomodate the larger brakes
i hope this helps stui
I've seen a lupo with a 2.8 vr6 golf engine, it was built by Dub sport in the UK. wicked car. they do some crazy conversions. but as for the whole R32 swap, I think tou would be insane to even consider it the amount of cost alone would be enough to bankrupt nasa!! the Gti conversion however is possible but the gear box would have to come from a mrk3 golf i think due to the lack of space.
Ive seen a VR6 engine stuffed in an arosa,
Ive owned an arosa and I would not waste the money it would cost to do the work, they're just too small to be practical in any way. Save your cash and buy a leon or ibiza cupra. Ive got a leon Cupra and that's all the power you need to lose your licence!!
Don't bother, it will cost you a large fortune, easier and cheaper to buy a golf instead
