I notice when i reverse on hard lock my front wheen tends to jump or slide slightly, and i get grinding noises when braking at very low speed. Any ideas?
Answers:
Don't think the two things are related. The noise when braking is probably due to the texture of the brake pads which can get coated by a crust from oil and dirt. Provided they still stop the car effectively without pulling to one side I would not worry.
Reversing on full lock? Is there any knocking noise when the wheel jumps? I'd worry a little more about that - probably ask 2 garages to report rather than fix and see if they agree in what they say.
Hmmm not sure.
