What make of planes were flying over Lossiemouth beach in 1955?

Were there Shackletons? Hawker Sea Hawks? Sea Hornets? What other ones? Does anyone remember that I could get in touch with?

I wasn't born then so can't remember, but I've searched a few web sites for info and most comes from the link below. RAF Lossiemouth was HMS Fulmar in the 50's and it appears that a wide variety of types were operated there. Those I could find mentioned were:
Seahawk, Seafire, Anson, Mosquito, Meteor, Vampire. That doesn't of course mean that differant aircraft from other bases weren't seen there, or that these were the only types based there! You might want to try contacting one of the ex-servicemen listed on the site below for more specific info!Hope this helps!
