Not expensive.you get some stupid answers from some people who really have no idea.a replacement rack from a breakers yard about £40-£45.recon your own rack about £80.replace with a new gen Puegeot rack about £200. So depends on the age of your car and how mush you can afford which option you take. Labour to remove and replace if you go to a "one man" business rather than a main dealer about £60 max

It depends on what part of the power steering has failed. If it is the rack, then it's possible to get a recon rack for about £80 to £100. The pump will cost more I would imagine, probably £200-300. Plus you have to add labour charges on top.. and VAT.

About £200 for a reconditoned rack. if the pumps gone go to your local salvage a saxo one will also fit. They wont expect too much, both are popular cars now.
