How long would it take to get from Glasgow to London on a direct train?
Answers:
It takes around five-and-a-half hours with no changes. If you book with Virgin Trains, you can get greatly reduced prices using their 'Virgin Value' tickets. The cheapest ticket seems to be £17.50 single, booking around three weeks or more in advance.
If you're more concerned with saving money rather than time, then www.megabus.com offer a coach service from Glasgow to London that takes nine hours, but if you book far enough in advance you can get a ticket for £1!
Hope that helps!

I travelled on the flying Scotsman and it took me 4hours from glasgow to london and the price was about £30 for a ticket. You get to see the country side which is great.
id say take the plane, so much faster and more convenient, with the train its a nightmare with all the delays, my friend has taken the train from skegness to derby and it took her 8 hours to get back
Last time I did this I think it took like 7 hours to get to Glasgow. I'd recommend flying.
