Will it pass an MOT?
I also have no spare tyre, is this included in the MOT?

I had the handbrake light flickering on in my old car once, you need to top up the brake fluid and it will stop (unless there is something else wrong). I took my car to ATS and asked for help doing it (my other half was away and didn't want to stuff it up) and they did it for free, takes about 1 minute.
I think you do need a spare wheel for the MOT though so would advise getting hold of one.
You definitely have to have a spare. And the warning light won't be clever either.
I'd advise getting a mate to fix them for you first - otherwise it could get a bit expensive :-)

if it has a spare it must be ok,but u dont HAVE to have one,so if its knackered take it out.u have to get ur warning light done though. CAN I JUST EMPHASIZE THAT YOU DO NOT NEED A SPARE FOR AN MOT!!!! LOADS OF NEW CARS COME WITHOUT SPARE TYRES!!!!

The questioner is correct and that's 'tyre', not 'tire', as we're talking about a UK situation here, rather than your odd Webster spellings.. but yes, you need a spare. warning lights are not covered by the MOT, as they are not statutory equipment, as long as the brakes work, that is all that matters (though don't rule out the garage suggeting you get it fixed by them..
sounds like your hand brake tension needs adjustment, if the car is in good con diction and saft to drive then it will past, if not read the failer notice and complete any tasks that it failed on retake the test and you should get a pass certificate
I'm not a complete expert, but I think if you go to a decent, common sense Garage, it should get through. You do not need a spare as far as I'm aware, but if you've got one it has to be good. The brake warning light is for your benefit and I don't think it is included in the test. Your car shouldn't fail for a faulty sensor, which is all that the flickering light can be if you have just had your brakes fixed.
I had a Citroen XM that kept telling me my brake lights were out, but it still passed its MOT because they were working OK and the car was just telling lies because its sensor didn't like damp weather.

1st hello i'm a mechanic so i'll tell you what u need. using a little bit of tar on a private road next to your house.1stl stop your car completly.2nd shift 1st gear and accelarate,after 10 yardds press your clutch and apply your hand brake slowly,if you feel your car wants to drift, go urgently to a garage,if it keeps steady on the breaking. just go to any petrol station and buy a small bottle of brake fluid d.o.t.3 and fill it up until the MAX LEVEL.it should be to level marks on your brake fluid deposit.dont over fufill it. ok? and drive safe.TEXANO
you must have a spare,, couldn't you get one from a scrapyard for a £5, take the bulb out..lol!. check your fluid levels. also make sure engine red hot for mot,,, if you own a cat' car and it fails on the emissions.. disconnect battery overnight, reconnect it then take it back... you will be suprised,,,,, inside secret.. lol

yes it will pass because if there is enogh break efficiancy thats all that matters and they cant test the spare wheel if its not there
hi , i,m glad u do'nt liv in Mexico goin by 1 of the ans .as for warning lights it's prob fluid level check master cylinder ,if your abs lights do not work correctly you will fail MOT,any warning light lite / flashing is telling you there is a prob.spare tyre is not a necessity
Sorry I can't help with the question, but I'm watching the answers with interest. I'm running on LPG and the spare wheel has been removed to make way for the gas tank (standard practice on some cars). And carrying a can of tyre weld in the boot

YOU DO NOT NEED A SPARE TO PASS A MOT regarding the handbrake light get the switch checked which is located at the bottom of the handbrake
hand braking is usually done on the rear wheels so changing the front pads will make no difference, as long as the handbrake holds the indicative sensors shouldnt cause a problem. there are possibly two reserviors in the brake master cylinder reservior if the fluid level is low the fluid could possibly favour the front brake reservior as most braking is done on front brakes, check brake fluid level, you should be able to see the partition throught the side of the reservior spare wheel as far as i know is not a road wheel if it is not on the car and therefore not subject to mot
