Why does my engine cut off when I use my air conditioning?
Answers:
Most likely the idle control is sticking and not responding fast enough to compensate for the added load. Any good tune up shop should be able to check it out and clean or replace it.
your belt is connected to the air. the air motor must be seized, and stops the belt. have someone watch the belt and see. sometimes the belt will smoke cause it cant move.
i think there is some thing wrong with the wires or some time the engine is on low fuel when you put extra load on it it cut off and it only happens when you are travelling very slow on fast speed it will be ok in this case you have to increase bit of fuel from carborator hope that will do
what kind of car is it - they are all put together a bit differently, aren't they? how old is it? have you tried leaving the air con off?
is the air con in any way connected to the air filter? i had a similar problem with my car. it kept stalling because the hose that was attached to the air filter had come off.
i am not sure really..go and talk to a mechanic.
. good luck.
Most likely the slow running does not change when you switch on the a/con. do one thing give the speed to the engine up to 1000 RPM then on the air con if it works that mean the acceleration system is not working .
sounds like there is a problem with the engine ilde controls system possibly the idle aire valve what car is it ?
