Audi A4 convertible 1.8t 2003 onwards?

Is this car faster than the mercedes c200k coupe 2002 onwards, also does it have a higher fuel consumption?

Answers:
it depends if you've got a lead foot! it will have a higher fuel consumption if you drive like a mad man!
It's a cool car - I have one and they are really reliable. Merc coupe is no contest on a sunny day - who cares how fast you're going when you are getting a tan! Fuel consumption is great unless you go over 100mph (not legal anyway) and then it drains away madly. It costs me about 60 quid to fill mine up in the UK and this is enough to go about 450 miles.
Being a converible, It''l have a lot of extra weight in the floorpan and that will blunt acceleration over the saloon model and also push the fuel consumption south. But its strengths lie elsewhere; its a handsome, well built car that in my view beats the Merc on all fronts.

Hope this helps.
The audi is a cracking car, better looking, better qaulity, better everthing. Mercs are heavy cars and a 200 will be struggling.
