I drive a Nissan Altima GXE, 1998. I went in to have new tires put on back in october and was told that I needed new tire rods for my front end. There is some shaking in the front end when I brake while driving. Please tell me how serious this is and if this is really my problem. My car had approximately 87,000 miles. It also has a rattle coming from somewhere in the right part of the engine whenever I run my air conditioner, could this be serious?
Just changed front brake pads, to expand the caliper I had to open the fluid res, no my brakes are spongy. Will I need to bleed the brakes?

Every time I get on the onramp to to freeway, when I shift from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd, my speedometer jumps about 15mph faster for a second, is it because I have 300 hp or shifting at 5600rpm? That's a problem I sure you don't know how to fix.
