Where are the spark plugs on 2002 astra?
Answers:
on top of the engine is a silver plastic cover - remove this - it is held down by two torx screws size t30 at the back and hooks at the front - you will then see a long black plastic thing - this is the ignition coil pack - its held with four torx bolts again t30 - unplug and remove this and the plugs are beneath it. you will need a 16mm plug socket. replacement interval on these is 40,000 miles or four years. this applies to the 1.4 and 1.6 models but is similar for them all
At the end of your spark plug leads, numpty!
the engine is a good place to look
under the hood
Most likely the milage that the spark plugs need to be replaced is over 60,000 miles there located in the valve cover with individual ingnition coil on top each plug. Wait for engine misfire code P0300 random misfire or individual cyl misfire codes P0301 thru P0304 Then Replace plugs Unless this car has a diesel engine
Hi,
The spark plugs are in the engine compartment you may have to unscrew the engine cover so you can see and get to them easely.
You can get a mecanic to change them for around £20- £25 for you.
I hope this is of help for you.
Regards Jason.
they are located just above the pistons unless it is a diesel then you will find them behind the steering colunm behind the dash board.
