Where can I get my Volvo car key programmed without having to pay dealership prices?? Thanks.?

Answers:
seems like too me that is a dealer option
An independent key maker.
Don't think you can. They have the monopoly.
Search for 'key progamming' under the car model heading, on the Owners Club website, someone will tell you.
You can do it yourself with cerain models I think.
if you live in london there is a place a catford called terry all locks he maybe able to do it. or a place at brixton hill called fortress locks.
they have done keys for me in the past
what year and model please that would help
850-s-70 you have to turn the key to the on position three times while holding down the lock button .please tell me which model if it is 2001 up it has to be done through the VADIS tool dealer only
You have to take it to a dealership. They will have to do a softwear download. Depending on the car if will be a few hundred dollars.
Depends on what type of key you have ? Do you mean the remote key fob ?.That can been done by yourself depending on which one you have . E-mail me a photo of it and i will tell you if you can do it.
If modern Volvo 03 onwards then you have to go to dealer. They run CAN-BUS electronic system and the dealers are the only ones able to do the job v w are going the same way which is a real pain especially for us small establishments
