What is the difference between a manual and automatic car?
Answers:
If you don't know, you shouldn't be driving.
automatics have no gears. in the uk if u pass ur test on an automatic then u can never drive a manual
Of course they have gears.
The gear change in an automatic is Automatic. In a manual you have to change gears yourself.
So a manual has Clutch, Brake and Accellerator pedals, whereas the Automatic has only Brake and Accellerator.
They have gears which change automatically.
No, all cars have gears. An automatic car moves up the gears automatically. Manual cars allow the driver to change gears by him/her self
automatic cars and manual cars both have gears .. go karts do not have transmissions. Read the link i put up its very informative and teaches you alot.
Automatic has gears they just change "Automatically" wheras a standard requires you to shift the gears.
No they have gears.
A manual transmission is one that must be shifted manually, by the driver.
An automatic transmission is controlled by the car's computer system, it shifts for you.
Manual transmission - driver changes gears by engaging the clutch and moving the gearshift lever into the proper position.
Automatic transmission - based on engine speed, acceleration, chooses proper gear and shifts automatically
Of course it has gears. Listen to you car when you drive and watch the RPM gage. It moves up and engine gets louder, it shifts and you may even feel that if you pay attention. Then again it goes higher and louder, another shift. If it didn't have gears you could not drive it. Each gear goes faster and turns more revolutions. It's just that in a manual you have to manually (do it yourself) shift and the automatic does all the work.
the differece is that manual you change the gears yourself
but automatic does it all for you,
you know when you start a car go first gear then when it drives on 2 gear when you stop first gear
automatic does that all for you, it works a lot harder than an manual, and is more expensive to run
Manuel car means you drive yourself from A-B
automatic car means you type in where you want to go and the car drives itself to your chosen destination. that why more cars have sat nav. the satellites in space guide your car to where you want. !
An automatic car is what it says, automatic.
the others you have to put your feet through the hole in the bottom and run like mad, saves petrol that way.
In one (manual) you have to do it and in the other (automatic) it is done for you.
automatic doesn't need a clutch and if you pass your test in an auto then you need to pass another in a manual if you wish to drive a manual.
don't mean to be funny but the answers in the question, and i don't even drive, but a manual means you do it manually (by yourself) and if it is automatic then it is automatically done for you. I think this is just the gears though i'm pretty sure it doesn't get steared for you as well (lol only kidding) course it does lol . I do know for defo though that if you pass your test in an automatic you are not licensed to drive a manual car.
Manual cars have 4 or 5 gears forward and one reverse gear.
Automatic cars have the same thing. Only difference is it changes the forward gears by itself, so all you have to do is put the shift on D(drive) and push the pedal. It shifts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 automatically.
You still need to shift for reverse.
ha ha basti moteee
i had an automatic vauxhall corsa i liked it it wasnt as much fun as a go kart but it was fun to drive just have two peddles one go (throttle) the others your break (stop) they are fun to drive i would recommend the automatic cars you cant stall them either so they are ace machines
automatic cars are boring!
The difference between manual and automatic engines is that when driving with an automatic transmission the gears are changed for you allowing more focus to the road an environment. A manual consist of a clutch 5 or 6 gear transmission you having to upshifting an downshifting from 1 to 5 or 1 to 6. I would recommend this to more advanced drivers or racers. Manual transmission is also faster than automatic transmission.
