How did I ever come to believe that I could wander around Boston and not get lost despite not having a map?
Answers:
Left your GPS at home, did you?
nice place tho! i found the people there much friendlier than other places in the U.S.
maybe its because they've got places with the same name as english towns like plymouth, bedford, manchester, taunton, hampshire an you thought you were in england!
most men ( i'm assuming you're a man) think getting lost only applies to women. now you know it can happen to ye too
I am not even sure GPS would help. Boston is CRAZY!!Enjoyable but CRAZY!Have some seafood while your there...
It's a guy thing. As long as you have gas in the tank you're not lost.
I'm sorry U got lost in Boston, but in spite of being such a large city, it's not that difficult to get around. Wait, were U driving? With the big dig, you're being lost in a car is understandable. Walking? just follow the red line of the freedom trail and every part of Bostony ou need to find will be there, OR duck down into a subway station and look at the maps on the walls. easy to find your way around that way. Hope you enjoyed your trip there anyway.

I remember reading somewhere that many of Boston's streets follow the tracks of old cow paths. If that is true, even a GPS may not help. You would need to have a four-legged guide.
I made that mistake myself once; never again. Boston sucks.
