Why does my heater resistor keep blowing on my 2002 focus? Replaced it twice now.?

Answers:
over the years i've worked on cars,i found that if your resistor keeps blowing, then replace the motor.the bushings inside that motor are worn and the extra drag on the motor overheats the resistor.as for that other guy,i've seen it happen more to gm's than fords.
r we talking Ford? well theres ur answer there.
there was a recall on some of the focuses but if no recall i would check for water contamination lots of them leak water into the airbox through the fresh air vent under the windshield this could be damaging the resistor and also could be leaking into the floorboard
