Does Red Deisel mess the engine on new cars e.g TDCI mondeo?

Answers:
No it will not knack your engine ! If you can get away with using it for .. let`s say a year , then you get caught by the custom`s , you will get a £500 on the spot fine for your first offence ( well worth it ),, if however you continue to use it after getting caught , the fine increases to £1000 and they take your car away then & there ! don`t use the "it was already in the car when i bought it" story, the roadside test they do is very acurate and they can tell if it has been diluted with normal ( white deisel ) they have a percentage chart and can tell how by how much it has been diluted ! Ok we all know it`s illegal to use but the government has made enough on it over the year`s But it won`t do any harm as it is only a dye , Good luck to you mate !
It's illegal to use so don't bother
'deisel' ?
it will run but is very illegal and if caught you could be in big trub.My dad used to do it and had fuel blockage once.
im not sure but using red & blue diesel in cars is illegal just use white road diesel

by the way im from west yorks
Up the White Rose of yorkshire

:D
Its got dye in it, apparently it does not knacker your engine, that is a myth. But it is tax free deisel and it does emit red smoke from your exhaust, so it is easy to get caught and done for tax dodging.
it could lack some of the additives of forecourt diesel- however it should be fine- the red is just dye.
you wont get in big trouble for using red diesel. You will get a fine if they catch you using it(big difference- you can easily save the £1000 in a year off your fuel bill )
nb- i believe they take vehicles off repeat offenders.
No, but HMRC will "mess" you when they find you out!
Its illegal plus red diesel is for use on farm and off road vechicles you stand a very good chance of buggering up your injection pump the cost can be huge£1200+ Ford would not want to know its just not worth it.
red diesel will not affect your engine but if you are caught by customs and excise it will harm your bank balance and you could well lose your car
No it won't mess with your engine, it will dye your fuel tank though.
Red diesel ( cherryade) has a red dye in it so that Her Majesty's Custom and Excise can tell that you have not paid duty on the fuel and you will be prosecuted - beware !!
No it is a harmless dye.
I know Red Diesel, and he messes with everthang. Matter of fact, that fool still owes me money!!
Red(low taxed) diesel will do no damage at all to an engine. It will however stain all the componets in the fuel system so that revenue and customs will be able to tell it has been used, and they may well take this matter up with you.

On the other hand, the chance of getting caught are very slim in a private vehicle
