How can i find the correct battery for my car?

any garage will tell you, halfords. handbook. etc..
any battery is the correct battery, its just how big of engine it is. like if its a v-8 and since its getting close to winter youll need a battery with more cold cranking amps. any battery will work in a car, its just the mattter of how long you can turn the engine over till the battery has no charge to start it.
you can use any battery on ur car, car batterys of course, if other people thought i was talking about any KIND of battery well then u dont need to work on cars. any CAR battery will work on ur car. like i said, its just the matter of what kind of starting amps and cold cranking amps you want. the bigger the engine the bigger the amps u want.
Go to an auto parts store. By the batteries, they will probably have a book or two where you look up the make, model, and year of your car. The row for your car will have several columns listing the different batteries that are right for your car. Most of these books cover just one brand or two, so be sure to check all of them and compare prices on the batteries they list.
Don't take advise from someone that obviously has no clue and Say's any battery will work. There are specific batteries for specific vehicles so they will fit properly and work properly. Where ever you buy the battery from will have a catalog with the correct part numbers or a part number for an optional size with more cranking amps that will fit your vehicle.

was always told, if possible, get the battery specified for the diesel-engined version of your car: it will physically fit, but have more capacity and power - oil burners take more power to turn over cold.
