Advice on car hub caps please?

I know nothing about cars but need to change the hub caps on my car..is this easy? can I do it myself or would I need to get someone who knows what they are doing to do it?

Thanks!

Answers:
you line em up with the valve and bang em on (gently)
Piece of cake, just make sure theyre the right size, pull the old ones out, and pop the new ones in. you'll be better off with rims though. all you have to do to those os clean them
look at the size of your tyre

it may say some thing like this 185 65 14

the last number (14) is the wheel size this usually is any thing from 13inch up , so in this example it is 14 inch , go to your local auto shop and buy a set of hub caps to fit that size, but be warned you do get what you pay for, if you buy cheap they will be of low quailty, more expensive ones have wire re enforcement on the tabs that hold the cap in place.

but generally they are easy to fit just line them up with your tyre valve n push em on
You can buy hubs at Wal-Mart for super cheap. Removal of the old hubs require a screwdriver (or any tool that gives you extra leverage), and you just pop them off. Installation is even easier. All you have to do is push them on. They should just snap in place.

If you are talking about rims, which is the whole contraption the wheel is on, you'd have to take it in to a shop.
Why would you need to change your hub caps , they do nothing but protect your wheel bearings from dust and dirt , unless someone has misinformed you and you mean wheel trims , in that case any fool can change them , pop them out and push new ones home or tap with rubber hammer , unless there the bolt on with your wheel nuts , in that case remove nuts remove trims fit new refit wheel nuts
