My StreetKa cuts out?

When ever im in traffic for a long time or the engine is idle for prolonged periods, and i put my foot on the accelarator, the revs totally die until the car cuts out. I find it only happens when the engine gets hot

Any Ideas what it may be, im think its misfiring??

It sounds like it's over-heating. this can cause teh engine to cut-out and have problems with restarting striaght after cutting out.

Get it checked out asap!

There could be something wrong (blocked) with the cooling system and if the temperature reading is wrong (is there a reading?), you could be over heating the engine . this would ultimately damage the head/cyclinders and would need a mighty rebuild or replacement.
Please provide more detail about your car . year ? Engine type ?
Does is starts up right after the cut out ?
What are the Temp/Oil/Battery gauges reading ?
Do you hear the fan spinning ?

Do you hear misfires on the engine at other speeds ?
Does it have power on a up-hill ?
Is the "Check Engine" light on ?
