Where is the thermostat located on a rover 25?

looking at the engine, you have a metal pipe on the right hand side just over the gearbox, follow this round the back of the engine and you will see a plastic housing secured by 3 screws the stat is in there.
pig of a job, 8mm bolts and you have to undo 2 x 13mm bolts that secure the metal pipe or you wont be able to move it.
I dont know the exact location for this make of car but the thermostats on most cars are located near to the water pump.If you look at the top hose running from the radiator,that usually runs to the water pump through the thermostat housing.Its usually held down with 3 bolts.Usually you just remove the bolts,prise the housing.it'll be stuck down,and the thermostat just drops in there.In simple terms hehehe,just follow the big black pipe and where that connects to the engine is usually where the stat is kept.Im not a mechanic but ive fixed all of my own vehichles so know my way around a bit.Hope this helps.
On the end of the top hose somewhere.
