I have a citreon ax 1996 and i want to know if the gear knob is able to screw off coz i cant do it?

If it is a leathery plastic gear knob then I managed with my ax. I don't think its a standard size though, and when I replaced mine with a chrome thing I had to drill the hole bigger so it would screw on. A bit more elbow grease I reckon.

I had trouble pulling my knob as well. Eventually it just come off in my hand
