RRC Fuel Pump - Again!!?

Right i have had a look round the 4x4 and am having a little bit of a problem locating the fuel pump. The RRC is a 89 F-plate 3.5 V8 Carb model with manual gears.

I have firstly checked for a Mechanical fuel pump at the L.H.S, next to the Carb but there is nothing there so i prosume it must be an electrical pump. Does anyone who where it is located on the 4x4. I have check the under side of the car and cannot see anything either, is it in the fuel tank or could it be fitted under the back seats somewhere?

The other thought i have had is that the wiring circuit may not be correct, i have checked the fuse and it is ok, the book mentions there should be relays fitted under the drivers seat although i think this must be for the later models as i don't have any relays etc under my seat. Is there a chance that the relay could be positioned behind the dash somewhere, like at the drivers foot well?

Hope some one can help!!

Cheers
