What does the coil lead do?

Answers:
In an older car with a distributor the high voltage current from the coil goes to the distributor from which the current is "distributed" to the individual spark plugs. In newer, computer controlled vehicles the power goes from the coil directly to the spark plug.
a lack of babies!

I prefer the up the bum no harm done method!
Takes power from the car battery to the coil. Here it's cranked up to thousands of volts before being fed to the spark plugs via the plug leads.
It directs, or leads the high voltage to the spark from the distributor.
hold on to it while someone cranks the engine over and find out.
the coil puts current into the distributer.
It transfers a high voltage surge to the distributor
It carries the HT (high tension or high voltage) spark from the coil where it is generated to the distributor. (where the HT is then distributed to the spark plugs) via the plug leads
