Can anyone reccomend the best type of corsa to buy, am looking to spend about £5000?
Answers:
dunno much about corsas, but my mate has an sri which is quite sporty looking and nippy.
any model thats not a vaxhul or corsa will be a good start
One with 4 wheels and an engine ;0)
Well Corsa I can! Try to get one made by Vauxhall, it helps! One that runs is a good idea! Stay away from Diesels! 3 doors is better than 5, as you don't have to give lifts. If it's taxed it's a help! Make sure it's got a steering wheel and 3 pedals. If it hasn't steer clear!!
Hope this helps?
If you're wanting to sell it some day then it's better for it to be a 5-door car with air con., electric windows, leather seats, basically as many extras as possible - that way you get to enjoy all the extra features as well.
I drive a corsa and they are great, I have a GLX and its very nippy. Make sure you get one that is the new shape as they look better
check out www.autotrader.co.uk for a rough guide on the kind of car you can get for your money, also try looking in the glasses guide. Do you have a car to part exchange? and do you have the £5k cash because these are all things you can use as leverage if you buy through a dealer.
we got a new corsa 2 years ago, its been the best car weve ever had, ignore some of the nasty comments you have recieved, go to a vauxhall car showroom, thats the best place, good luck
Are you nuts!
Why would you buy a Corsa!
Their rubbish and a boring car with about as much fun as a cardboard box with wheels. £5000 is a nice bit of dosh for a car if you check out AutoTrader on line www.Autotrader.co.uk
You might be surprised for what you can get for 5 grand. If I
Where you I would use that £5000 to buy a nice second hand motor in a good dealership near you that you can trust.
Something with a good warranty and not so expensive on Tax and Insurance.
Depends on your Drivers license really. Something with a good finance deal, with good repayments you can afford. Why buy a crappy motor when you could get a nice cool car like a Hyundai Coupe or a BMW or a classic style like a Honda Cougar or a Toyota Celica.
You can't go wrong with a good Jap motor, stay away from anything else especially Vauxhall, Opel, Fiat and Renault, lousy motors and they will cost you in the end. Don't make any rash decisions by the look of a motor, if you buy from a private seller, make sure he has the cars history (log book) and get a mechanic you can trust to check it out top to bottom! As sometimes there are assholes out there that will mess with the mileage meter to make more dosh out of ya! Just look around for a while and you never know what might turn up!
I myself drive a tiptronic BMW 325 05 black, sexy and I done her up quite a bit etc, she was worth the cash and the great things about BMW's are you can get 200,000 miles out of them if you look after them properly, the best thing about a BMW is you will always get a good return on it when you sell it on..
Good luck. I hope this helped!
Hi,
I have a vauxhall corsa diesel it does over 65 mpg and has saved me a fortune in fuel I have owned it from new and I have done over 75,000 miles with no problems what so ever.
So good luck with your choice of a vauxhall its a good 1.
if it is corsa then have 1.4 , and if thinking of other model, then go 4 nisan almera 1.5, same insu-groupe and roadfund.shopround good.
Is a Corsa sexy?
DONT BUY A VAUXHALL CORSA!!!!
Go and look at VW`s or Hondas or Peugoets all better than Poxall

2005 Corsas start from £4190.
Good luck in your search.
you'd be better advised to throw your 5k into the canal.
corsa is spanish for 'not f**king likely' & hungarian for 'check the dick driving that piece of sh&t'
seriously, although they aint for me, the reanult clio is a far far better car. my old dear had 2 corsas and now the clio. its no contest
£5000.
Buy at least 4 for that.
umm.. Corsa??/
i'm selling my audi A3 Sport for £47000.
holla if you want it.
The best Corsa to buy is a Ford Fiesta, Nissan Micra or VW Polo. They are all better and don't have vague steering and rubbery gearchange.
FIND SOMETHING ELSE!!! When things start to go wrong it is all down hill. Once you repair one thing some thing else breaks. Buy a Honda Civic. Any civic, whatever you prefer in your price range.
if you are a young driver i would recommend the lowest cc available..young drivers should be restricted for the first 2 years in my book until they gain some road skills,do you really need a car that does over 90mph?? i don't think so..it can still look cool..just don't change the engine size or power..please..too many youngsters die because they have cars that are too powerful..and then they overload them with pals, don't increase the tyre pressures to compensate for the additional weight,go haring down the road, first serious bend or bends.lo and behold.. one tree and young lives seriously injured or dead.
Vauxhalls get you from A, sometimes to B, but never in style. with that sort of money you'd be better off with a Focus, Volvo s40 (T4 if you want some fun) or if you really are determinded to buy a carrier bag try the Renault Clio. Don't try a Fiesta because in tricky circumstances they become the Grim Reapers company car.
