Why do people park on the road outside their house and not on their driveway?

Answers:
Because they can't reverse.
Because we want to. A'ight??

Edited to add:

Also to stop the a-holes who block us in and then we're stuck in. And when we complain to the a-holes they say they didnt realise it was a drive - duh!!

Or because we are planning on going out later in the day.

Nothing to do with laziness thank you very much.
Because they want to take the spaces of the people with no driveways, bas**rds
cos they cant be ars'd to reverse back onto the road lazy people!!
So the retard can block your car from pulling out whilst the idiotic driver is getting pissed down the local.
because they are ******* guy!
If they have a driveway, I think they should be made to park in it - leave the road free (don't know if the council could police this, if you have one car and one drive, the car should be in the drive).

I expect it is just laziness, they can't be arsed with the manoeuvring.

My mum's next door neighbours are always leaving their cars at the top of the drive on the road, meaning my mum has to sweep further out in to the road when she pulls out to get round the car - it's really out of order. Sadly, as it is a private road she can't complain to the council, only directly to them, which does no good!

Humph! Very annoying!
To avoid the added labour or reversing and also the chances of other "idiotic" cars parking right behind your tail. That's probably it!
What does it matter? Take the bus.
Sometimes people have too many cars to put them all in the driveway or they have to park there in order to not get blocked in by others, sometimes visitors park in the street in order not to block in the people who actually live in the house, other people just park there I guess.
We have a large tree at the the end of the property and it provides a lot of shade so we always have a neighbour that always parks infront of our house. So early in the morrning we park one of our vehicle infront of our house so he can't.. lol
hahahaha! I've noticed that too, they are propbably just too lazy. But look at the bright side.. they can park it outside because their/your/my neighborhood is still a safe place to live in :-)
to block their kid from leaveing
to stop other people parking out side the drive, which in turn would stop them getting the car out of their driveway.
Life is too short to wonder at such a stupid question.
same reason they park so far from the kerb other cars cannot park opposite them, they are selfish people.
most of the one's i see cant park anyway, but are happy to block a path with cars on it if they cant park in 'their space' and are the first to complain if the car gets damaged.
Because thats where they keep the ,, caravan.
