Ford mondeo warning light?
or miner it stays perminantley lit when the engine is running
Answers:
the engine management light is a warning light to tell you that one or more of the engine sensors is detecting a fault or is faulty itself. you will need to bring the car to a garage - not necessarily a dealer to have a diagnostic check carried out. this is where a diagnostic computer is plugged into the car and interfaces with the engine ecu - it will take only 5 mins and will show up trouble codes which will point your mechanic in the right direction as to how to remedy the fault.
It is difficult to diagnose this on such limited information, however, it may just be an electrical glitch.
Try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, but make sure you have the radio code if it is that kind of radio.
The only sure way is to have the car connected to an appropriate diagnostic computer, either at a Ford dealer, or an independent who has the appropriate equipment.
Best of luck!
Well in my experience it can be a small glitch or a major expense.(an alterantor) however, either way you need to get it checked out before it gets any worse
Please get your car checked out ASAP, so you don't end up getting stranded somewhere. Hope you have AA or other roadside assistance coverage.
