Unless you're in the military or in some sort of government service position that requires you to be out of the country, I'd say you're out of luck for this one. Just go get a new license when you get back.
Go to your local library, borrow a time machine, go back to 1899, dont forget to take the old money with you, as they wont accept the new, and maybe, and just maybe, they will put you in a lunartic assylum.
