Citroen C5 gears are sticky/sloppy coming out of 5th when cold, can't get neutral. Any thoughts?

Citroen C5, 2002, 1.8LX petrol, 70K miles.
Problem occurs when car is cold, go into 5th and then come back out, can't find neutral, as if stick is just flopping around. No problem when engine/gearbox is warm. Just looking for guidance before taking to dealer.

sorry mate - citroen make a terrible gearbox and yours is well worn - and i like citroens
Try a thinner gear oil. Sometimes the thicker oils can make things a bit rough until they thin out with heat.
And the answer is.. GET A CHEVY! History proves chevy and some foreign makes are better cars than Dodge or Ford.
I live a very trouble free life and Chevrolet has helped make it that way. I currently own a Chevy Truck from 78 and an Oldsmobile Cutlass from 82 and I will never have to buy a new car again as a result! Saves me tons of money!
I also have a couple a VW's and they are very easy to fix and work on my self saving me more tons of money!
Sounds like you have a problem, with the synchronizer in 5Th, trans missions that jump out of gear are in need of repair by a pro get it repaired or buy a salvage and have it put in
