My corsa whistling???
Answers:
Sounds like a vacuum leak, You should be able to track it down just by opening the hood and reving the engine a little.
Well, when in difficulty go for the obvious or the simple, or the simply obvious? In this case, is there a bird trapped under the hood?
Sorry no, don't worry about it whistling just worry about it smoking
could be alternator charging the battery or the power steering pump.
Get it checked out by your local Vauxhall dealer. It could be a number of things, one of them the EGR (exhaust gas reciculation)valve.
its that time of year againe get your fan belt (s) checked over they may need a bit of a tighten up I have found belt dressing to be good (a spray from any good motor store)
it could be the pulley on the alternator tensioner. the bearing may be worn - it is an automatic tensioner so its unlikely that the belt is slipping - it could be one of the timing belt pulleys - the same happens to the bearings on them - get these checked now - if the pulley on the timing belt breaks it will cost you and they are very common to do so.
It could be the Cam belt has been tensioned to high. If it is then you will wear the belt out.
