If a garage accepts your car as part exchange without inspecting it first are there any comebacks?

Answers:
NO None what's so ever it's there responsibility. nothing to worry about
No. You are absolutely safe. Unless you signed any document stating the car's condition was not as it was in reality.
no you will be alright
No
I would say not as I part exchanged my jeep when it needed a new engine! It had a hole in the radiator so when all the water disappeared it started to burn oil and the engine was just about knackered. Filled it up with oil and water took it down the garage who were offering a minimum part exchange deal, they test drove it a few miles, luckily it was ok for that, and I part exchanged it for my new car. I knew it was knackered as I had taken it to a mechanic friend who said get rid of it quick.
Once they agree to buy your car off you, it's their problem!
Didn't feel in the least bit guilty as found out they had ripped me off on my new car anyway!!
No, it is their responsibility to check the car and once any documents have been signed then its all done and dusted under contract law - you have offered to part exchange your car and they have accepted your offer. After all, you cant inform people of problems you are not aware of and its difficult for them to prove without doubt that you aware of any problems, but even so, the only way they have any claim against you is if you own your own business - regardless of what business it is - if you have your own business then they can come back to you with regards to the car not being in a reasonable condition.
If you dont have your own business and the deal is done then it is too late for any comeback.
yes you get ripped of for catalogue buying, you laught at them and they laught all the way , its called speculation.
if there is hidden finance, car is dangerous or stolen i think you would have a comeback. but small mechanical faults and even poorly repaired body damage get past the salesman its their car when they take the keys off you.
No, not unless you have been deceitful
you are fine most gararges just look around the car then offer you a price ofer the new car you buy!
some times may test drive it but not very offten?
No aslong as you have not lied to them about the vehicle.
Depends on if the condition of the vehicle has changed since the deal was done, if they checked the vehicle and took it off you doing the deal there and then, you're okay, but don't expect to be given any ground if you have any problem with the car you bought, these people have long memories.
If the car has developed a problem since the deal was struck or the dealer picks up on something they didn't notice before then they may back out or change there offer
no
no none at all, same as sold as seen
